Amer is a senior cybersecurity and risk management executive with more than 25 years of IT leadership and 15+ years directing enterprise Information Security and Compliance functions. He delivers pragmatic, business-centric security leadership and engages effectively with Boards, regulators, and global stakeholders.
He brings extensive experience strengthening cyber resilience, safeguarding digital assets, and aligning security strategy with business growth across technology, engineering, life sciences, and government-regulated sectors. Amer has deep expertise in implementing and operationalizing ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, SOC 2, and IT general control frameworks. He has led enterprise security transformations, enhanced regulatory compliance, built mature ISMS programs, and directed SOC operations, threat management, incident response, and third-party risk management.
Prior to joining CREO, Amer has been in CISO and Head of Information Security & Compliance roles, advising senior executives and Boards on cyber risk exposure, strategic investment needs, risk appetite, M&A integration risk, and enterprise resilience.
Amer holds a BS in Computer Science from the University of Kansas and a graduate certificate in Public Health from UNC Chapel Hill. His professional certifications include CISSP, CISM, CISA, and CRISC.
